What is a cookout without rib tips and hot links?
add krystals
New Bern NC dining room STILL closed. Why?
The BBQ sandwich there has no business being called barbecue. I’m not even sure what type of meat is in it. Then there’s the coleslaw. Good God, how can you mess up coleslaw? Stick with hamburgers. Please
I love the slaw.
Love the chili, too.
Fast service and awesome food 🙂
Their hamburger double up platter deal tastes great. The burgers upgraded to A1 Steak Style or Cookout Syle taste extremely close to dine in restaurant quality like at Ruby Tuesday’s (a franchise known for it’s burgers). The Large Unsweet teas are a great deal and so refreshing when it’s hot outside in the Summertime. I also really like the BBQ platter (it’s good, juicy BBQ pork in a mild smooth BBQ sauce-I like to make sliders out of them w/ Hawaiian rolls myself), their coleslaw and hush puppies are absolutely delicious. The hush puppies are unique in that they’re long and thin shaped unlike the old school rounded ball style hush puppies but the taste, texture, & flavor of the Cookout hush puppies is a home run. The fries and onion rings are pretty good too. I have tried everything on the menu yet but based on what I have tried so far-I definitely recommend eating at this place.
No meat. No dairy. Save the animals. All living creatures. Live life. Cancer 2020
Food was great but slot price, I ordered #4 #2 hot dog belated with chili, all fry’s sub drink for shakes cost 34$ that’s crazy that spittle high and wasn’t exspected
I got a shriveled-up chili dog and an order of fries and a milkshake for almost 9 dollars. also there was a line at the drive-thru. Waited for an inordinate amount of time at the speaker. No one answered. Finally just drove ahead to be behind 3 other cars. There were at least 3 cars ahead of me and 3 cars behind me. When I got to the window the guy tried to hand me someone else’s food. Explained about the speaker. told him I guess I would leave. He said what did you want. At least 15 minutes later he brought my food. still, 3 cars behind me that I could see probably more by now. looking thru the window it looked like a few customers inside. and a few employees wandering around doing something. Not processing orders. I think this location needs a new Manager and a whole new crew. I have worked in the fast-food industry in the past. I am pretty sure If I worked like this crew I would have been fired
Totally unfair price.
Yeah well when I order a cheeseburger cook out style then they want to charge me more for the chili on top of the fact that I’m already paying for a burger that comes with chili. No you keep all your food and I will go somewhere else. I’m not going to be nickeled and dimed to death.
its literally just chilli a few cent not gon hurt nun… thas jus petty
Might just be a few cents but, it is the principle of the thing. You place an order you should get what you order and it should be the price advertised. What if everything priced for sale was upcharged.
I purchased a tray with 2 sides & 2 chilli dogs fries & slaw as the sides. Cheesecake…cheer wine as the drink. My chilli dogs didn’t have the mustard I requested. The fries were hard. The cheesecake wasn’t topped with the strawberries I requested. Plus a mocha shake. I was trying to see how much each item costs. But I didn’t get a detailed receipt. It cost me $15.67 according to the prices on this menu price update I was charged an extra $1 for every item I purchased. Then the food was cold no heat period. Jonesboro, GA location.
I ordered small cheeseburger lettuce tomatoe Mayo. It had no cheese. I ordered small Fri and small vanilla shake. Price was 11.09!!! The shake was not a shake it was soft serve ice cream in a kiddie cup The menu prices say totally different than what i was charged.
One of the most deceptive practices in the cookout chain, and all fast food suppliers, is to issue a receipt with a total rather than an itemize list to protect you from overcharging.
I’ve been blessed multiple times with being overcharged at Cook Out😡
So I’m not the only one that didn’t get that detailed receipt.
I used to love cook out but what they charge for their trays you can go get a steak dinner and get it fixed right
I ordered a Bar B Que Tray with onion rings and slaw and a shake and an order of hushpuppies. I asked the gal to repeat my order, she did. Got to the window and it was a guy. I checked my order. Box with fries, a sandwich and 3 onion rings, no slaw. I thought a tray was the meat and 2 sides. He said we heard fries. He gave me coleslaw and sent me on my way. I told him I had her to repeat my order, so why was it wrong. Too much money for what I got. They are in too big of a hurry. Food is sloppy. Very disappointed in the Boone, NC location.
