If you are in the latter bucket, you’ll be glad to know that there’s more to the Hardee’s menu than you’ve gotten to see on your late-night munchie runs. There’s an entire Hardee’s Secret Menu out there, filled with oddly sensible combinations that will make you wonder “why didn’t I think of that before?”

Hardee’s Secret Menu is not as well-known as others in the fast-food industry, so you may need to explain the following items and their ingredients when you go to order. Trust us, no one ever got served “The Harold” by being a know-it-all.

Monster Biscuit

It’s been more than 10 years since Hardee’s released the Monster Biscuit, but what most people don’t know is that you can still order it today. The reason being is that it’s essentially a combination of all the breakfast food items on the menu, so it’s not a matter of having the ingredients in stock. The Monster biscuit is stacked high, with bacon, egg, sausage, ham, and cheese, all loaded on a buttery biscuit.

If the Hardee’s worker is not familiar with the Monster Biscuit by name, just explain what all goes in it. You might get some weird looks, but the judgment and heartburn will be worth it.

Better for You

If you’re a health nut (kudos to you), you may have noticed that Hardee’s has a “Better for You” section on their regular menu, broken down into four categories: Veg It, Low Carb It, Trim It, and Gluten-Sensitive. So, what’s the secret? The Better For You menu may only contain a handful of items, but you can apply the Veg It or Low Carb It principles to any sandwich or burger on the menu. For instance, if you order a Veg It version of your favorite Hardee’s burger, you are asking for the bun and all the toppings that would ordinarily come on the burger, just without the beef patty. However, if you order the Low Carb It version of a sandwich, it will come in a lettuce wrap instead of a bun or biscuit.

Chicken Stuffed Super Star

A calorie-monster is a calorie-monster, no matter which Secret Menu you find it on – but this one just happened to originate on the Secret Menu of Hardee’s sister restaurant, Carl’s Jr. For the daring (and the hungry), try ordering the Chicken Stuffed Super Star – a Spicy Chicken Sandwich slapped right in the middle of the Super Star burger.

Let’s break it down. The Super Star is a double cheeseburger that comes with lettuce, tomato, pickle, special sauce, and mayo. Then, you’ve got the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, which contains spicy chicken (obviously), lettuce, and mayo. If you split the Super Star between the patties and make room for the chicken sandwich, you’ve got this indulgent secret menu item. That’s four buns, two beef patties, one chicken patty, and too many toppings for us to care to count.

Rodeo Burger

Technically, you can order the Burger-King-inspired Rodeo Burger at any fast-food chain that serves burgers, onion rings, and BBQ sauce – but don’t let that fizzle your childlike wonder for this delicious creation. We’ll admit, the trio of ingredients is one of the best of all time, but we’d be curious which fast food joint serves the best one.

To get yourself a makeshift Rodeo Burger at Hardee’s, just order a plain double cheeseburger, onion rings, and a side of BBQ sauce. Beware: Hardee’s BBQ sauce has more of a kick than Burger King’s.

The Harold

The Harold has done an excellent job at remaining a secret, but we’re here to out him. You’ll understand our fervor when you take a bite of this breakfast mashup, which starts with a base of biscuits and gravy and is topped with eggs, hash browns, and shredded cheese. The Harold may only be available at restaurants willing to whip up an off-menu item. It’s worth a little pleading.

Plant-Based Burger

The release of Hardee’s Beyond Famous Star burger is no secret, but did you know you can order turn any burger at Hardee’s into a plant-based one? Simply ask to swap the beef patty with the plant-based one, and you’ve got yourself a vegetarian meal. Skip the cheese and make it vegan. It’s a beautiful thing to have options.
