Potato wedges are a thing of the past at KFC. The fried chicken chain just announced they have replaced their thick-cut wedges with Secret Recipe Fries.
The fries were originally tested at KFC restaurants in cities like Roanoke, Virginia, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, back in January of this year. The trial period must have gone well because the restaurant is rolling out Secret Recipe Fries at all KFC locations across the United States.
What makes these fries so special anyway? The new Secret Recipe Fries are seasoned with KFC’s secret recipe, giving it that unique “KFC taste” that fans of the brand have come to know and love. You can order Secret Recipe Fries on theri own or as a part of the $5 Fill Up or Tenders & Fries Bucket Combo.
Of course, some customers are unhappy about the change, taking to social media to express their disappointment over the discontinued potato wedges. In fact, there’s a petition circulating online to encourage the fast food franchise to reconsider removing the beloved menu item. However, with only 500 signatures, something tells us the Secret Recipe Fries are here to stay.
