Method
Onions
- Add butter and sliced onions to sauce pan.
- Heat at medium heat until onions are translucent.
- Stir in chicken broth, chicken bouillon cubes, salt, and pepper.
White Sauce
- In a saucepan, add butter and flour and heat on medium. Stir for a few minutes, and slowly add milk into pan. Add salt, and continue to stir until the mixture has thickened.
- Set aside and let cool for 10 minutes.
Soup
- Once white sauce is cooled, add Velveeta cheese to the saucepan.
- Warm the soup on low-medium heat and stir continuously to combine all ingredients.
- Keep on heat for 30 to 45 minutes.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top and serve.
