The first rockfish seafood grill opened in February 1998 at Preston and Park in Plano, Texas. Back then, it was known as the Flying Fish Lodge. Customers loved the fly fishing theme and casual seafood menu – especially the company’s affordable price points! Thus, brand momentum grew quickly, spawning a vibrant and energetic culture that embraced diversity.
At present, Rockfish has ten Texas restaurants, with eight located in North Texas and two in Houston. Although the new additions shed the old structure of the Fly Fishing Lodge in favor of a coastal waterfront eatery, the heart and soul remain the same.
