If you are looking for a cheap place to eat and drink, Applebee’s Neighborhood Bar and Grill should be at the top of your list – if it’s between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., that is. Applebee’s never fails to offer some of the best happy hour deals, no matter where you live. From dirt-cheap cocktails to half-price appetizers, you (and your wallet) can leave stuffed and satisfied. However, happy hour deals at your Applebee’s location may be different than the ones at an Applebee’s a couple of states over, so it’s always a good idea to check your nearest restaurant’s menu before getting your sights set on cheap wings and cocktails. To help you figure out which Applebee’s happy hour specials are available, here’s a look at the different deals you can find around the country.
What are the happy hour specials at Applebee’s?
Applebee’s happy hour specials are some of the best in the restaurant business. At many locations, they have cheap appetizers and drink specials at certain times throughout the week.
Most happy hour deals will include the most popular food items and appetizers to share, like spinach and artichoke dip, mozzarella cheese sticks, and boneless chicken wings, available in Classic Hot Buffalo sauce, Honey BBQ sauce, or Sweet Asian Chile sauce. Other appetizers often included in happy hour deals are Crunchy Onion Rings, Queso Blanco, Potato Twisters, Cheese Quesadillas, and tacos. Appetizers are big enough to share with two to four people, and they can be found half-off at many Applebee’s locations during happy hour. Half price apps typically do not include the sampler plate or trio.
Many Applebee’s locations will extend their drink specials throughout the day and night, rather only selling them during the time designated for happy hour. Some popular drink deals that we have seen include:
- $3 Miller Lite and Bud Light
- $4 House Margaritas and Select Wines
- $4 Well Drinks
- $5 Craft Beer
- $5 Top Shelf Long Island
Some locations sell their drink specials for even cheaper than what we’ve listed above. Remember, these deals can vary by location and are subject to change upon the restaurant’s discretion, so your local restaurant may not be running the same promotions we’ve listed.
What time is happy hour at Applebee’s?The most common time Applebee’s hosts happy hour is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, as well as every night from 9 p.m. to close. Evening and late-night specials are typically the same. Some restaurants may only serve happy hour specials in the bar area, while others may offer them throughout the entire restaurant.
What is Applebee’s $1 drink this month?
Each month, Applebee’s releases a monthly drink special for just $1. Typically, these 10-ounce drink specials are crafted to complement the season, whether it’s a tropical Mai Thai for summer or a fall-inspired Vodka Cranberry Lemonade for November. In December 2019, the $1 Neighborhood Drink of the Month was the Merry Dollarita, a festive pomegranate margarita.
The $1 Drink of the Month is served at participating locations only.
Can you order Applebee’s half-price appetizers to go?
At most Applebee’s Neighborhood Bar and Grill locations, you cannot order half-price appetizers to go. These deals are usually available for dine-in guests only, which makes sense because the restaurant uses happy hour to attract a crowd and create a fun, vibrant atmosphere. However, the restaurant has an excellent Carside To-go service that allows customers to order anything off the menu for carry-out. Packaged meals are then delivered straight to your car once you arrive at the restaurant. To-go orders can also be placed through delivery services like Grubhub, Doordash, Postmates, and Ubereats. While the half-price appetizer deal will not apply when ordering delivery, the delivery services often run specials and other promotions you can take advantage of throughout the year.
